Live Speaking Events

We are here to share with you the trials and tribulations we suffered through the winding road of addiction. From the depths of Hell to the light of recovery, we have finally made it.

We want to share our stories, our failures, our successes, and the lessons we have learned throughout our path to recovery. Our mission is to arm parents and family members with the knowledge to recognize and prevent their loved ones from falling victim to this tragic disease. We strive to offer support and inspiration to those already affected. We hope the afflicted find the salvation that we ourselves cherish today. Our lives have been spared. To show our gratitude for this gift we have made It our life’s mission to help others find their way to recovery. God bless and stay strong, we are here to help.

Testimonials

Tania Bella Salvato

“As a recovering addict myself celebrating 10 years coming up this Sept, I appreciate this page so much. I sometimes forget my own horror stories until I read one of Kevin's and then am able to identify. It takes an almost impossible amount of strength, courage, support, etc. to overcome addiction. Top that with the willingness and bravery to share your stories with the world and well, that's truly just heroic! Thank you!!”

Joe Belmonte

“The addict’s diary means a great deal to me. To be part of a team of guys that have strong recovery and try to help others with it is a tremendous gift. Together we strive to break the stigma of addiction and share our stories with as many people as possible in order to inspire hope.”

Mikey Hugs

“I honestly can't begin to express how much love, care, and concern this men GENUINELY have for recovery. They have all helped me be a better man and thats the truth. Nothin but love for them all, especislly Ryan who ran the sober house i was in, he's the best and does everything he does with love. Just a great bunch of gentlemen”

Candice Raudies

“You are an inspiration I don’t have an addiction but I have loved ones who do and can’t admit to having an issue so reading your story makes me believe that their is eventually hope! I pray everyday and hope I look forward to seeing you Monday night!”

Cheryl Strong

“The experiences that are described helped me so much. Helps me to understand the very thoughts behind the actions and behaviors of addiction. People that suffer from addiction are not to be thrown away. They need to be understood.”

Danielle DeBernardi

“Kevin saved my life. For real. 7 months 21 days clean and I couldn’t of done it without him by my side. He went above and beyond to make sure I got the help I needed, that I deserved. I’m forever grateful”

Krysta No

“I love this page it helps me a lot when I’m having a hard day! Lucky I can get on here and see some positivity when I’m struggling in my own journey or having a weak moment to know there is others who are doing it to and thriving love it!”

Aaliyah Mae

“I think this is important to see, because it is very misunderstood and can be misconstrued. These are real people having these painfully sad stories. I love to see their recovery on my newsfeed. This page is unlike any other one and I'm so grateful for it.”

Lee Ann Phoenix Patterson

“As a mom, this page has given me more that I can ever ask for. It has provided advice, insight, reality checks, peace, hope, chills, tears, smiles... the list goes on and on. Team Kevin and Louie have given me so much as I travel down this path with my addicted son (who is currently in treatment thanks to their team). I am incrediably grateful for them and everyone who has a part in the delivery their message to others.”

Deirdre Dougherty-Paskett

“This blog is really encouraging . It’s helped me to read the recovered and recovering addicts feelings and stories of their life then and now. They give me , a mom , a different perspective and more understanding of my child’s battle . I thank God that he brought Kevin and Louis into my life and I thank God that he gave them the intelligent minds and compassion to help others struggling and to also help the loved ones and families too.”

Destiny Andrews

“My children lost their father a year ago in 3 days, I am not sure how I came about finding Kevin Alter or this page, but I did and it has been a huge help this past year. I have reached out to Kevin personally and asked for help for a mother who has an addict son. It took him no time at all to respond to me. I was never an addict myself, but I was with my childrens father for 8 years and to be able to hear the addict side (from a sober addict) is more helpful than you would believe. Thank you for your inspiring stories and words of encouragement.”
